JPR Systems is seeking a Field Service Instrumentation Engineer to support customers throughout Northern California and Nevada. In this hands-on role, you’ll install, calibrate, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial process measurement instruments.

Based in Brea, California, we serve customers across California and Nevada in industries including water and wastewater, oil and gas, biotech, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, chemical, and power and energy.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Field Service Instrumentation Engineer, you will help keep customers’ operations running smoothly by visiting their facilities in Northern California and parts of Nevada to perform essential tasks, including:
- Instrument calibration, installation, start-up, troubleshoot, maintenance, and repair instruments from the manufacturers we represent
- Conduct site walks to evaluate the scope of service work
- Identify and order parts as needed
- Conduct training sessions for customers’ technicians
- Complete daily service reports and calibration documentation accurately and on time

What We’re Looking For:
- Preferred: a bachelor’s degree in engineering or experience in industrial automation or instrumentation and control systems.
- Knowledge of process controls and instrumentation is preferred.
- Practical experience with field instrument calibration, including flowmeters, level, pressure, and temperature transmitters.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with flexible problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.
Travel:
- Travel to customer sites throughout JPR Systems’ territory, with approximately 90% of travel in Northern California and 10% in Nevada. A company vehicle/truck is provided.
- Occasional overnight travel required
