Primary Role:

JPR Systems is looking to fill an open position for a talented Account Manager in the Fresno, California area. Candidate must reside in or around surrounding areas.

The Account Manager is responsible for promoting and selling all products and services represented by JPR Systems and increasing revenue in the assigned territory. You will act as a consulting business partner to customers to determine current and future instrumentation needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop new business in assigned territory by identifying key customers and sales opportunities
  • Define the growth strategy for assigned accounts and drive implementation
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with customers by meeting frequently to discuss product solutions, opportunities, and strategies for their success
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of technical product knowledge of manufacturers’ products
  • Provide innovative solutions to customers and act as a trusted advisor in applying our products to their specific application needs
  • Support the preparation of proposals so they adequately address customer needs for products and/or service.
  • Maintain positive relationships with manufacturers and work closely to introduce, promote, and position their products and services
  • Collaborate with our manufacturer’s Regional Managers to set up joint customer sales calls and seminars/webinars
  • Manage all reporting about the health of customers’ accounts
  • Manage leads and opportunities that come from various marketing activities
  • Participate in internal strategy meetings
  • Participate in industry events as required

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business is preferred
  • Prefer general technical knowledge of automation, control systems and analytical systems
  • Successful in sales or solutions sales
  • Proven competencies in business development and account management
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Strong presentation skills; tailoring the approach according to customer needs
  • Ability to simplify and clarify complex problems to broad and diverse audiences and to influence appropriately
  • Relate to customers at all levels, and to communicate both on a technical and non-technical basis
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, company employees and the manufacturers we represent
